It’s May again, which means the academic year at Purdue is coming to a close and graduation sessions are back! Jenna just finished up her nursing program, so we met up for some celebratory Purdue graduation photos on campus.
Weather can be a bit unpredictable in the spring, but we ended up with balmy temperatures and a nice sunset. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.
We chose a few of Jenna’s favorite spots on campus for her Purdue graduation photos.
We started at the Purdue University Gateway Arch in front of the Purdue Memorial Union. Hot tip: the Gateway Arch can get *crazy* busy around graduation season. There is often a long line waiting for their turn to take pictures. I recommend choosing this location just on weekdays and during off-hours, like mornings or before golden hour, that way you’re not wasting your precious photo time standing in line! Because Jenna and I scheduled her session to start just before golden hour, we barely had to wait at all and got to make the most of the rest of her session.
From there, we headed over to the Bell Tower, then the Engineering Fountain and Hovde Hall. She brought some of her nursing mementos for a keepsake flatlay photo that I loved. Finally, how insanely beautiful is that pink flowering tree? I found out it’s a horse chestnut, and now I want to photograph everyone in front of it.
This girl has such a bright future ahead of her. If I ever need a medical procedure, I trust her behind the scalpel. 🙂 Congratulations, Jenna!
If you will be graduating soon and want your own Purdue graduation photos in West Lafayette, Indiana, reach out sooner rather than later! I can’t wait to get planning how we can represent your study area and favorite campus spots during your session.
